Majok Update
The New England Recruiting Report caught up with Northfield Mount Hermon head coach John Carroll yesterday as well as Ed Smith, the longtime coach and advisor for NMH center Majok Majok.
Majok had a tremendous second half of the season for NMH this year as he established himself as one of the top centers in the NEPSAC and sparked renewed interest from high major programs.
After visiting Fordham and Harvard earlier in the year, Majok has three official vists left and is planning to take all three before making his decision.
His recruitment has been in a bit of a holding pattern for the last month as Majok suffered a severe ear infection that actually required surgery and prevented him from flying for the last several weeks.
But now, Majok is expected to be cleared to fly next week and he will resume his visit schcedule with a trip to Georgia Tech that they are currently in the process of scheduling. The final two visits will go to a combination of Oklahoma, Valparaiso, Fairfield and Siena.
Colorado was also heavily involved before head coach Jeff Bzdelik left to take over the program at Wake Forest, but are now not involved according to Smith, despite internet reports to the contrary.
