Maine Rankings Announced

Lee Academy point guard Nate Tomlinson is the best college prospect in the state of Maine (in our opinion), and there doesn’t look to be anyone close to catching him.  While the Australian native has yet to play his best basketball so far this season, his value is undeniable as he is a pure point guard who makes those around him better.  Scout.com’s National Recruiting Director Dave Telep may have said it best when he noted Tomlinson’s unique presence at the point guard position as his confidence and composure when running the team are always evident.

Coming in at #2 is MCI’s big man Kamil Gawrzydek who has a ton of potential but does not yet have Tomlinson’s polish.  Two guards from Bridgton Academy are at three and four as Cardell McFarland and Stacey Waters have been very impressive thus far.  Rounding out the top five is another MCI big man in Svetoslav Chetinov, with Hamid Ford and Chris Baskerville close behind.

Because Maine is a relatively small state that features three big prep schools, sometimes this list can be dominated by post-graduates.  But top local talent like Sam Leclerc, Jon McAllian, Brandon Tomah, Lee Suvlu, and others should not be overlooked.
