Local Programs Qualifying for National Prep Championship

Earlier this week, Prep Circuit announced the first 9 schools that have been selected for next week's National Prep Championship.

The tournament will take place on Wednesday, March 8th and Thursday, March 9th at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut.

Brewster Academy, Putnam Science Academy, Northfield Mount Hermon, and Springfield Commonwealth Academy were among the first five teams to be announced for the field while Cushing Academy and South Kent.

The full release from Prep Circuit can be found here, with write-ups on the top players and resume of each program to date.

Two spots in the field remain available and three local programs remain among the teams still alive for those. For the first time in history, the National Prep Championship field could include more than one AA school as Tilton and Vermont Academy both remain in contention heading into their head-to-head match-up on Saturday. In the Power 5 Conference, Notre Dame Prep is still alive as well with a match-up against Springfield Commonwealth Academy on tap for this weekend.

Complete brackets will be announced on Sunday.
