Local Products Selected for Elite One Hundred
Nike's annual Elite One Hundred kicked off Wednesday night at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri.
The event hosts 100 of the top underclassmen in the country with the majority of the participants in the class of 2020 and only a select few in the class of 2021 invited to attended.
New England is annually well represented at the Elite One Hundred and this year is no different. Among the players selected to participate are Vermont Academy and Albany City Rocks' Symir Torrence, Sacred Heart and New York Rens' Nate Tabor, Cushing Academy and BABC's Matt Cross, East Catholic and Expressions' Trey Hall, Putnam Science Academy and New York Rens' Kareem Reid, MacDuffie and PSA Cardinals' Richard Springs, Rivers and Expressions' Terrence Clarke, and MacDuffie and PSA Cardinals' Franck Kepnang.
The opening round of games tipped Thursday night and will continue through the day on Friday and Saturday prior to the camp's conclusion on Sunday.
In addition to on court training and competition the Elite One Hundred also includes daily life skills training. College coaches are not permitted to attend but media from select national outlets including ESPN, 247, and Rivals is on hand throughout the week.
