Laput Commits to Bentley
Notre Dame West Haven's Zach Laput made a verbal commitment to Bentley over the weekend, accepting their full athletic scholarship offer.
Laput was flying under-the-radar for most of last spring and summer, but made a name for himself among college coaches during his senior season, averaging 22 points and 10 rebounds per game for a Notre Dame squad that went 21-2.
Laput went on to earn SCC Player of the Year honors and earn four scholarship offers at the D2 level.
“I think it’s a home run personally,” Laput told the New Haven Register of his commitment to Bentley. “It’s everything I basically wanted, great academics, great basketball, I love the campus. Everything about it I thought was perfect.”
A physically powerful wing and top-notch shooter from behind the three-point line, Laput is also known for his work-ethic and competitiveness.
Below are highlights from the first-half of his senior season.
