Kenan Parrish Commits to Harvard
Last week, Northwood High School alum Northfield Mount Hermon/Garner Road Basketball Club 3SSB 2024 7’0” forward Kenan Parrish announced his commitment to Harvard.
The big man was a target for a multitude of college coaches, also receiving offers from Eastern Kentucky, Appalachian State, Army, and Navy, as well as a Division II offer from Wingate University.
Parrish played a huge role in Northwood’s very successful season last year, finishing with a 28-3 overall record. He also helped lead the team to the North Carolina 3A State Championship game.
He is a very physical player to match up with on the defensive end, but he also has better touch around the rim than just about anyone of his size. He has also gained more skills on the outside, showing an ability to knock down threes.
Parrish is set to be a major piece of Northfield Mount Hermon’s lineup this upcoming season, as even though there are plenty of Division I and Division II caliber recruits competing at the NEPSAC Class-AA level, his size is mostly unmatched.
Following this year, it will be exciting to track Kenan Parrish’s journey competing at the Division I level over the next few years in the Ivy League at Harvard.
