Katenda Nets Georgetown Offer
Eric Katenda's recruitment continues to rise to new levels. A few months ago he picked up his first high-major scholarship offer from Notre Dame. A few weeks later Michigan head coach John Beilein sat in the stands to watch Katenda's Cheshire Academy team face Wilbraham and Monson in the first round of the Western New England playoffs.
This weekend Katenda picked up his second Big East offer as Georgetown became the latest school to offer him a scholarship.
Katenda was in Washington D.C. this weekend to visit his longtime advisor Joe Toumou and took an unofficial visit to the Georgetown campus where head coach John Thompson III officially offered him a scholarship.
Katenda is a six-foot-nine forward who recently completed his junior season at Cheshire Academy, averaging 27 points and 13 rebounds per game.
