Junior Elite Camp - Nuggetts

Hoop Mountain hosted its annual Junior Elite camp July 8th-11th at Stonehill College. The New England Recruiting Report was on hand to observe the top rising talent in the northeast play together and look to improve their skills going into their high school or competitive youth seasons this winter. The camp featured approximately one hundred rising 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders looking to showcase their steadily improving ability, earn some early exposure, and improve their game. Camp Coaches split the players into two groups; The NBA West, which featured rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, and the NBA East, which featured the camps rising 9th graders and a very select group of younger players.

During the next two weeks we'll take a detailed look back at each team in the camp and the various players that made up the squad.  First up is the Nuggetts from the NBA West.

Chace Wood, 4’8, guard

Chace is a young guard with a great competitive spirit despite only 4’8.  He makes smart decisions when he has the ball and can pull up for a mid-range jumper when he has the chance.

Thomas Murphy, 6’1, forward/center

Thomas has the potential to be an outstanding post player.  His great basketball IQ and size will give him the opportunity to control the paint area at the next level.

Tighe Robinson, 5’8, forward

Robinson as a forward can be a strong playmaker finding open teammates and finishes well when attacking the rim.  He also has solid size for rebounding in the trenches.

Stefan Masciatelli, 5’8, guard/forward

On the offensive end, Stefan has a strong scorer mentality.  He will cut and slash to the hoop without the ball and with the ball he loves to attack his defenders and finish.

Noah Goodwin, 5’7, small forward

Goodwin is a great overall 2-way player with an accurate mid-to-long range jump shot offensively and an intense competitive edge defensively.

Jacob Johannessen, 5’1, guard

Jacob’s coach described him as an undersized player on the court but has a strong heart and competitive spirit that is also a great team player.

Isaiah Jones, 5’1, point guard

Isaiah is a great overall point guard that can be a scorer as well as a playmaker.  He loves to cut to the hole using his lightning-fast quickness or to get open on the wing for his sniper-accurate jump shot.
