Junior Elite 75 Player Preview: Greg Fernando
- Standing an athletic six-foot-four with an extended wing-span, New Bedford's Greg Fernando is game-changing forward who is already being mentioned as a potential top-prospect in the Class of 2016 and is a major reason why the Expressions Elite 8th graders are considered one of the top 14u teams in New England heading into the spring. Fernando has been absolutely terrorizing the free-style circuit this winter, averaging 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 blocks for his New Bedford-based town-travel team.
In addition to his monstrous presence in the paint, Fernando is also working hard to develop his back-court skills and according to Expressions Head Coach Sean Floyd, Greg will get plenty of opportunities this spring to play out on the perimeter. HoopRootz is anxious to get a nice, long look at Fernando a week from Sunday in Mansfield at the Junior Elite 75.
