Jeremiah Jenkins Commits to Brown

Last week, Brewster Academy/Expressions Elite 2024 point guard Jeremiah Jenkins announced his commitment to Brown University. The 6’0” guard plays with a strong feel for the game by limiting turnovers and creating for others. His athleticism is always on display, especially on the defensive end. He has been one of the top-ranked players in his class in New England since he was a freshman.

Jenkins has spent his whole high school career at Brewster. He was already turning heads as a freshman, as he was named to the list of 2020 Pangos All-American Camp Standouts before he had even taken the floor for his first high school game.

He received his first scholarship offer from UMass for his freshman year performance, and would go on to also receive offers from Boston College, Vermont, Western Kentucky, Fairfield, Iona, UNC-Greensboro, and Binghamton.

Over the next couple years, Jenkins was also named to more lists of standouts and all-stars from camps and showcases, including the 2021 CP3 Camp All-Stars, as well as the 2021 Future All-American Camp All-Stars, for which he was also named MVP.

This year, his success has continued, as he was once again listed as a standout for his performance at the 2023 Andrew James Lawson Foundation Invitational at TD Garden. Most recently, he was named to the 2023 Nike EYBL Session IV Top Performers for his performance with Expressions Elite.

In speaking with NERR, Jenkins shared how grateful he was. “I want to thank everyone who helped me through my journey. I also want to thank Brown for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to attend their school,” he said. “In addition, I wanted to thank Coach Martin, Coach Tyson, and Coach Tj for taking their time to recruit me.”

Jenkins has been on the Division I radar for some time now, and it came with excitement as he announced that he would be joining the Brown University Bears for the 2024-2025 season.
