Recommendations

"Zach has been a coach's dream in the recruiting process and in his virtual integration to our program. Our weekly Zoom calls have been elevated by Zach's presence and contributions. He is a responsible and conscientious young man who excels in the classroom, but he also works incredibly hard and makes winning plays on the court. That is a combination I am excited to coach this year."
- Matthew Fava, Head Coach, Suffield Academy

"Zach is a very good teammate. He is the guy on the court that you look to as a teammate to give you and your team hope or words of encouragement. He is also a very smart basketball player. His IQ is through the roof and he sees plays develop before they happen. Defensively he is very versatile, can guard mostly 1-4 at all levels, and offensively he is a 3 level scorer and can fill it up from about anywhere on the court, whether it be down low in the post or him hitting deep 3 point shots."
- Roland Hubbard, Head Coach, Austin Capitals

"Zach is the single hardest worker I know. He's always the first guy in the gym before practice and one of the last to leave. It's obvious he sinks serious hours into his craft as he has made himself a threat to score at all three levels, finish above the rim while driving and in transition, is a willing passer, and has a great hustle as chase down blocks are a common occurrence with Zach. He can and will do whatever it takes to win. "
- Aidan Donellan, Austin Capitals teammate

Scout's Take

High academics. High character. High-level athlete. All indications - from every recommendation, film, and piece of info - suggest he checks all three boxes. That makes him a rare type of prospect. Physically, he not only is capable of finishing explosively above the rim but he also has a strong frame that makes him a versatile, multi-positional player on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he has the foundation for a nice stroke to keep developing and seems to be able to straight line drive and pass effectively. His work-ethic and intangibles are reportedly off the charts according to all sources, so he's both the type of player who should continue to evolve individually while also adding to a team's collective culture.
