Hotchkiss Sophomore Lands Big East Offer

The Hotchkiss School’s sophomore sharpshooter, Clyde Smith, recently received a scholarship offer from Notre Dame according to ESPN affiliate www.IrishSportsDaily.com

Smith, a native of Texas, recently finished his first season in New England after transferring into Hotchkiss to start his sophomore year and averaged 18 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals per game.

“I was really excited,” Smith told Irish Sports Daily.  “This is my first time experiencing all of this and it’s real exciting.”

Smith arrived in New England with the reputation for being a shot maker and he only proved that and more during his sophomore season as he shot the ball consistently from the perimeter while also showing the ability to break down his defender off the dribble.

Notre Dame joins Northwestern to become the second high major school to offer Smith.  Texas A&M and Stanford are also actively recruiting Smith.
