Hotchkiss Headlines CT’s Top Ten of 2013

The top ten juniors in Connecticut begin with a frontcourt tandem from the Hotchkiss School in Kyle Washington and Austin Colbert.

Both potential stars are in their first season in the Nutmeg State.  Washington is a Minnesota native who already owns a slew of high-major offers while Colbert has been a well known product since his freshman debut alongside Kyrie Irving at St. Patrick’s in New Jersey.

Checking in at the third spot is that state’s previous top ranked player, Kuran Iverson, who is the top ranked junior in the CIAC.  Another newcomer is right behind him in the local state association, as Trinity Catholic’s Jason Boswell sits fourth overall in the state.

A pair of prep big men check in at numbers five and six in Salisbury forward Samuel Dingba and Green Farms Academy center Sean Obi

We’re back to the CIAC for the seventh spot and that belongs to Capital Prep’s do-it-all guard Kahll Dukes.  Marianapolis big man Greg Senat, another first year prep product, sits in the eighth spot.

Patrick Steeves becomes the third Hotchkiss product to crack the list in the ninth spot while Putnam Science Academy’s Dayshon Smith rounds out the top ten.

Right on the cusp of the state’s top ten are guys like St. Thomas More’s Denzel Gregg, East Hartford’s Cane Broome, Stratford’s Bernard Brantley, Ridgefield’s Kurt Steidl, Kent’s Travis Berry, and several others.
