Hoop Group Mid-Atlantic Jam Fest - Sunday Blog
NERR scout Jared Exler was on hand over the weekend at Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim, PA for the Hoop Group Mid-Atlantic Jam Fest.
In case you missed any of the action, here is a rundown from him on some of Sunday's standouts.
Julian Rivera, a 2024 from @playmakers2022 & @Highland_Hoops is a southpaw guard who can hit standstill treys, scores cutting layups with his understanding of how to move without the ball, and finds teammates for drop-off layups when attacking closeouts. pic.twitter.com/zWRdU0LTi0

2024 @PSBphilly & @Shipleybvhoops guard William Littles has a quick first step to get to the rim, vision to find cutting teammates in the half-court or on the break, while also showing upside making threes off the bounce. pic.twitter.com/1JmdXgTYe8

Nico DeFrank is one to track in PA’s 2025 class. Forward who looks to still be growing makes good decisions passing out of the post, moves well as an off ball cutter/switchable defender, and can attack off the dribble in straight lines. pic.twitter.com/MNWIXqdlkW

2025 @CentralPAElite & @cburghoops big man JJ Kelly has soft mid-range touch when flashing to the short corners, finishes well from the dunker spot with his explosiveness, and uses a sturdy frame to be a solid defensive rebounder. pic.twitter.com/vrzU46MXXb

Evan Cabral, a 2023 from @ALLINHoopsNJ & @DBFastBreakClub stood out last game set. The tough and physical guard took bumps around the rim with his strong body, showed good reflexes jumping into passing lanes for steals, and was effective taking on secondary playmaking duties. pic.twitter.com/sYVxgIjOTM

2023 @TeamLoaded__757 & @MenchvilleBb guard Anthony Clark has shifty handles/good burst to regularly get lane penetration, impressive leaping ability/solid vision to be a half-court score/pass threat, along with being a defensive playmaker using his length/instincts. pic.twitter.com/1I0V4pceXf
— Jared Exler (@JExlerNERRHoops) Isaiah Grimes, a 2023 from @PSBphilly & @PCquakersBBall is a high energy forward with a stocky frame who makes his physicality felt on both ends of the floor. pic.twitter.com/mwMJk2A0mc

Treyvon Watson is a long and lanky 2023 big man from @ALLINHoopsNJ with good hands to pull down defensive rebounds, nice mobility as a rim-runner/weak-side shot blocker, in addition to showing flashes of some finishing touch around the rim. pic.twitter.com/aj4ROtlhOS

2023 @HPrideHoops & @PSBphilly guard Googie Seidman was excellent in the title game hitting deep threes off the catch/dribble, finishing crafty layups high off the glass, while also making an impact guarding on the ball. pic.twitter.com/O2JrH8ByaR

2023 @ALLINHoopsNJ & @DBFastBreakClub guard Evan Cabral was very good in the semis but even better in the finals hitting three spot-up treys, finishing through contact at the basket, while also getting his hands on a number of balls in passing lanes. pic.twitter.com/0GMJL7catL
