Holy Cross Lands Luc
Holy Cross landed an important verbal commitment on Wednesday afternoon when Brimmer and May and Mass Rivals 2021 senior point guard Kyrell Luc announced he would be following in the footsteps of his coach Tom Nelson, who previously starred at Holy Cross.
Luc is an undersized guard who has not just made dramatic strides and exceeded all expectations in the last two years.
He’s scored over 1,000 points in just two seasons with the Gators and put up 26 points, 6 assists, and five points per game this year while earning Most Valuable Player honors in Class AA of the NEPSAC.
Along the way, Luc earned a plethora of division I scholarship offers ranging across numerous conferences.
“Kyrell is the hardest working and most sincere you man I have ever coached. He’s continually improved and took every minute to maximize his potential,” Nelson said. “He improved physically, but more importantly, he improved mentally, and his skills were highlighted even more because of this. He chose thelong game when deciding on a school, one where the academics match the basketball at a high-level.”
Luc may be undersized but he’s been New England’s version of Spud Webb recently, showing supreme athleticism and rapidly emerging playmaking ability.

Last year’s NEPSAC AA POY, Luc is an undersized but absolutely explosive southpaw guard & playmaker.
