Henaghen Heading to Saint Michael’s
Williston Northampton School & Black Bear North forward TJ Henaghen recently announced his commitment to Saint Michael’s, a Division Two school in the Northeast 10 Conference.
Henaghen began his prep career at Hampden Academy. His sophomore year was one to remember. He played an integral role on a Broncos squad that won the 2020 MPA Class A State Championship. Henaghen scored 11 points in the Title Game.
After a COVID shortened 2020-21 season, he decided to transfer to Williston Northampton and become a member of the 2023 class. Henaghen was a starter on a Wildcat squad this past season which won 19 games and made it to the NEPSAC A Semifinals.
He played his AAU basketball for Black Bear North. Henaghen stood out on the ZGXL circuit last spring and summer, earning All-League Honorable Mention honors.
“I think TJ and Saint Michael’s are a great fit,” said Williston head coach Ben Farmer. “His size, athleticism, and skill set are ideal for the NE-10. Defensively he can be a real asset due to his ability to guard multiple positions in that league.”
“TJ has grown tremendously as a competitor these past two seasons and I am excited to follow his career at Saint Michael’s.”
Henaghen becomes the third member of Williston’s 2023 class who has committed to play college basketball next season.
