H.M. Invitational - Sunday Recap
Championship Sunday at the Hoop Mountain Invitational was jam packed with action, great games and stand out performers. Here is a look at who impressed:
Tshiefu Nglaundi, DC Blue Devils - This 6'4" 8th grader playing up with the Freshman group might have been the best prospect in the event. Nglaundi has length, skill, and a great feel for the game. He has plans to attend Proctor Academy next year.
Chris Lowry, CT Gold - This crafty point guard was terrific on championship Sunday making all the right plays and creating offense for himself. He is a big reason why CT Gold made it all the way to the tournament semifinals.
Remi Farrell, CT Gold - The 6'7" post was tremendous on the glass on both ends of the floor and finished everything inside.
Malik Pouncey, Metro Boston - Pouncey was one of the best freshman prospects in the tournament. He showed great body strength as well as a developed perimeter skill set.
Johnny Hilaire, Mass Elite - The Sophomore had a monster game in the AM playing up on the 17u team. Hilaire recorded 26 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.
John Sica, City Rocks - Sica showed a tremendous skill set. The 6'7" forward showed why Ivy and Patriot League teams are already taking notice of the 2015 product.
Joe Crapps, LOX - The powerful guard was a beast all day guiding LOX to 4 victories on Sunday. Crapps ability to score in transition was a thing of beauty as he got to the rim at will.
