Graham Grabs Big South Opportunity
Milton Academy & Basketball Club Rhode Island wing Jack Graham committed to High Point yesterday afternoon.
Before attending Milton, Graham went to Bishop Hendricken. He was apart of the Hawks 2021 Division I State Title team. Graham gave his team a key jolt of energy in the championship game's first half against Classical, scoring nine points off the bench.
A decision was made after the season that he would be reclassifying into 2023 and moving into the NEPSAC to play for Milton. Graham was an integral part of a Mustangs team that made it to the Class A Semifinals. He put up 13 points and 5 rebounds in Milton’s first round Class A Tournament win over Philips Exeter Academy.
Graham had an impressive rise once his AAU season kicked off with BCRI. He excelled as the go to option on a team that won the NERR Super 16 and made the Hoop Group Atlantic City/New England Jam Fest Championship Games. BCRI finished the grassroots season with a 32-10 record.
“I am really happy for Jack and his family,” said Milton Academy head coach Lamar Reddicks. I thnk making a college decision is always difficult but it can be more difficult when the basketball component is added to it.”
“High Point is getting a very good player in Jack. He is tough, brings versatility, and can cover multiple positions. I think it is a win win for both Jack and High Point.”
“Jack Graham is a special talent, outstanding person, and teammate,” said BCRI head coach Kyle VanRossum. Even when Jack’s recruiting skyrocketed this summer, he was always more concerned with the team’s success rather than his individual success.”
“He deserves the opportunity to live out his dreams of playing Division One college basketball under such a strong coaching staff and program at High Point University. BCRI is grateful for his loyalty and the new heights he has brought the program to.”
Graham becomes the first member of Milton’s 2023 class to finalize their college plans.
