Goodluck Cuts List, Prepares for Elite 24

Goodluck Okonoboh cut his list to just five schools on Tuesday afternoon – Florida, Duke, UNLV, Indiana, and Ohio State (in no particular order).

Florida, Duke, and Indiana were all widely expected to make his final list after all three had been very publicly involved in his recruiting to date.  Ohio State and UNLV were more of a surprise, but both have made a hard push in recent weeks.

The news comes just as Okonoboh prepares for this weekend’s Elite 24 game in New York City.  The festivities will begin on Wednesday with a welcome dinner for all the families followed by a “Midnight Run.”  Players will spend Thursday participating in a Life Skills Program and Grind Sessions with NBA trainers before team practices and media sessions.

Friday will begin with a community service project before the Dunk Contest and UA Battle for Respect are played out on live national television on ESPNU.

The Elite 24 game tips off at 7pm on Saturday from the Tobacco Warehouse in Brooklyn Bridge Park, in the backdrop of one of the country’s most historic landmarks.

Okonoboh was also the subject of the latest episode of NERR-TV as he caught up with Paul Lazdowski last week to talk his summer, his list, and the Elite 24 game.
