Green was the third prospect to commit to Northeastern in a 24 hour period that began Monday night when Brandon Kamga, a six-foot-four swingman from Virginia became the first to pledge. Shortly thereafter Donnell Gresham, a six-foot-one point guard from Minnesota, followed suit.
Green may be more of a long-term project than either of his counterparts, but his upside is undeniable with his rare combination of size and skill.
He was a relative unknown throughout the first three years of his high school career until a late growth spurt suddenly turned the former perimeter player into a six-foot-nine center.
His name became a popular one among college coaches last year as a senior and that interest only continued to grow this summer as he ran with the New England Playaz in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Las Vegas.
Now, after earning wide ranging division I recruitment, he has opted to return to his hometown in Boston for the opportunity to play in the CAA for Northeastern.
