2025 #E75 Academic Experience - ‘25/26 Backcourt

We're excited to start getting the great group of players we had in the gym the other night in Foxborough throughout this week. A number of players at all ages of the high school level came out to the event to get direct exposure to high academic college coaches, and boost their names in the recruitment world.

To kick things off, we decided to break up the guys into age groups by front/back court starting with the junior and senior guards that came out.

Let's get started.

Kingston Maxwell, Abington (MA) - Unfortunately Maxwell had to leave early with injury, but in the time he did play the ascending big guard's talent was evident. The junior just powered his Abington High School squad to third round of the state playoffs and looks to continue the momentum moving forward. His ability to knock down shots off the dribble and attack the basket are two standout traits of his game that we took note of. Keep an eye out for Maxwell when grassroots play gets going in the next couple of weeks.

Damola Oremosu, Toll Gate (RI) - Oremosu jumped out to us immediately in his first game set as he played very well. The Toll Gate HS product is a stronger guard that uses his physicality to force his way to the basket where he made a ton of layups off the glass. On the defensive end he made a resounding impact pressuring the ball and getting right into box outs to secure rebounds.

Isaiah Green, Hull (MA) - Green saw a lot of success attacking defenders on closeouts, and getting into the paint for finishes. His form on outside shots is incredibly consistent, and he knocked down plenty of them. The junior guard had a huge season at Hull High School putting his name on the map in the region, and looks the part of a college prospect worth monitoring.

Aziz Saamo, Chapel Hill Chauncey Hall (MA) - Saamo's point guard play was very impressive throughout his game sets. He was able to keep defenders off balance with his handle and make great reads to find openings in the defense. Saamo converted inside off the glass on drives a number of times, while also making passes to his shooters by collapsing the defense.

Deondrae Farmer, Bethel (CT) - The senior guard was a vital factor for his Bethel High School squad this season in his return to New England. Farmer is a skilled scorer that can be a lethal option when he goes to his stepback moves. He doesn't need much space to get his shots off, and has a handle to manuever past defenders to get through the lane to score. Farmer is still available in the class of 2025.

Jimmy Farrell, Masconomet (MA) - The junior captain was a major part of the success that came to Masconomet this year where they made their first final four in school history. The guard averaged 18.6 points per game, and showed just how at the Elite 75 as he showed his floater touch, and relentless ability to get inside when gaps open up in the defense. Farrell's shotmaking stood out as well as he converted from all three levels of the court.

Brody Fay, Chicopee Comp (MA) - The Western Mass product's Elite 75 debut was a notable one that resonated with those watching on. With size at the guard spot, Fay was able to position himself to haul in rebounds, and switch onto different positions defensively. His offensive play stood out as Fay used his handle and poise to get to his spots at different levels of the court and convert.

Lino Sanchez, Beaver Country Day (MA) - Heading into a big grassroots season before his senior year, Sanchez excelled in his outing as his two-way game stood out. The guard did a great job staying with the ball on the defensive end and forcing some turnovers. With the ball in his hand, his quick burst allowed him to get past his assignment and score it in the paint.

Stephen Lora, St. Patrick Academy (RI) - Capping off an impressive high school career, Steph Lora is still available in the class of 2025. The southpaw guard has been a known scoring threat throughout his career knocking down three's off the dribble and making tough shots through contesting defenders inside.

Lucas LeGage, Portland (ME) - Recently closing out a strong junior season that included an appearance in the AA North semifinal, Legage's growth as a scorer has continued to improve with time.  Playing off the ball, Legage excels at getting out in transition, or exposing open lanes in the defense cutting to the basket. He has solid touch on his layups, and is definitely a catch-and-shoot threat from behind the arc.

Gavin Chamberlin, Bristol Central (CT) - Chamberlin had a strong season in the CIAC and put his skillset on display in front of our scouts the other night. Despite his smaller stature, Chamberlin competes hard on the glass to grab rebounds and steps up to guard bigger players on defense. His ability to draw contact and get to the free throw line where he knocks them down consistently stands out.

Aidan Walker, Newtown (CT) - Walker just capped off a big junior year for Newtown High School where he poured in over 17 points per game and was named First Team All-SWC. The point guard is a consistent threat from outside the arc and knocks down three's in bunches. Outside of his shooting, his ability to run the offense was notable the other night.

Gabe Cohen, Brimmer & May (MA) - The small guard has a known reputation for being an energizer when he gets onto the court due to the fact that he just simply competes very hard, especially on defense. That once again showed in this setting, and he made some passes and finished layups as well.

Sebastian Harding, Bedford Academy (NY) - Harding has impressive ball-handling abilities and is a quick decision maker at the guard spot. He was able to get into the lane at will and create advantages for his team.

Thomas McCullough, Daniel Hand (CT) - McCullough is a shifty guard who can use his impressive ball handling ability to get to the basket and finish or fire out passes to the perimeter. His passing ability also allows him to operate in the pick-and-roll at a high level.

Mike Andruchow, West Warwick (RI) - The West Warwick guard is a three-point specialist, which was evident in his outing. Andruchow thrives at knocking down three's off the catch, using his clean release and getting into his shot quickly.

Bryton Buckley, BVT Regional (MA) - Buckley had a tremendous season at Blackstone Valley Tech where he had numerous high scoring outings. At the guard spot, Buckley provides a nice spark in the scoring column with his ability to hit shots in the mid-range and behind the arc.
