Gibson-Savadel and Singleton are D1 Bound

A pair of 2023 prospects will be playing their college ball in New England after they made recent D1 commitments. Lucius Gibson-Savadel is headed to Sacred Heart while Kahlil Singleton will be attending Holy Cross.

Gibson-Savadel is in his fourth year at Millbrook School and stood out last season. He played an integral role in the Mustangs making a NEPSAC Class B Semifinal run. Gibson-Savadel’s play also earned him ALL-NEPSAC Honorable Mention honors. In the spring/summer months, he competed on the Nike EYBL circuit for PSA Cardinals.

Singleton began his high school career at Fort Vancouver HS in Washington. After a terrific sophomore year averaging 21.9 points, he decided to head to New England and play for Loomis Chaffee. This came with a reclassification into 2023. Singleton’s only year in the NEPSAC was a success. He led the Pelicans to a NEPSAC Class A Tournament berth while also earning ALL-NEPSAC Team honors.

He is currently playing for Scotland Campus in Pennsylvania. Singleton’s scoring prowess has been on full display this season with numerous 30 plus point outings. This past AAU season, he competed for The House We Built in the Hoop Group Showcase League.

Both of these prospects become the first members of their school's 2023 class who have committed to play Division One college basketball next year.
