Garland Owenes Commits to Boston College
Boston College landed a commitment from Garland Owens on Sunday. Owens is a six-foot-seven forward currently doing a post-graduate year at Massanutten Military Academy.
On the AAU circuit, Owens runs with Mid-Atlantic Select where he has teamed with local prep products including Zaid Hearst, Daquan Simpson, and Jalen Myrie. Mid-Atlantic Select traveled to New England twice last year, for the Northeast Hoops Festival as well as the Super 16 Showcase, and Owens starred in both events.
Owens is an exceptional athlete who plays above the rim like few others are capable of. He has the versatility to play multiple positions on both ends of the floor and will give the Eagles a boost of length and athleticism to compliment their already skilled frontcourt.
