Farley Commits to WPI
Burlington (MA) High School and Boston Warriors guard Shane Farley has been admitted, and subsequently committed to, Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Farley has averaged over 20 points per game in each of the last two seasons, reaching a number of milestones along the way, including recently scoring the 1000th point of his career. Last year he set a Burlington record, and MIAA best in 2012-2013, with a 50 point performance against Wilmington.
The versatile six-foot-three guard is a two-time Middlesex League All-Star and was recently named to the Boston Herald’s pre-season D2 Dream Team.
A true two-sport athlete, Farley has been equally as successful on the gridiron, breaking school records for touchdown passes (20), passing yards (1930) and completions (144) as the school’s starting quarterback.
Farley joins Kyle Howes (Merrimack), Asante Sandiford (Franklin Pierce), and Nick Tarantino (Middlebury) to become the fourth member of last summer’s Boston Warriors squad to make his college commitment.
