ESPN Updates National Rankings
ESPN updated their national rankings in the classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024 and the numbers of local New England products represented exceeds anything from recent memory.
In the ESPN 100 of 2022, Wilbraham and Monson and New York Rens big man Kyle Filipowski shot up into the top ten, making him the highest ranked product from inside the region in several years.
Massachusetts native and Expressions forward Alex Karaban, who will spend his final season at IMG Academy in Florida, finished 42nd. Bristol Central and Team Spartans big man Donovan Clingan, who is committed to UConn, also came in within the top 60.
Dom Barlow, who will transfer into Bridgton Academy, made his debut at 80 after a big July with New York Rens. NMH point guard Rowan Brumbaugh, who ran with Prospect University and committed to Northwestern earlier this week, also made his debut in the 100 at 92 overall. Brewster Academy and BABC big guard Dasonte Bowen, who is committed to Iowa, retained his spot on the list at 93rd overall.
In the ESPN 60 of 2023, New England has another top 10 prospect in Brewster Academy's Matas Buzelis. His teammates Taylor Bowen (Expressions) checks in at 24th overall on the list while Springfield Commonwealth and Rhode Island Island big man Isaiah Miranda moved up to 36. Worcester Academy and BABC forward TJ Power retains his spot at 52 while Kingswood-Oxford and Expressions Elite forward Gavin Griffiths makes his debut at 53.
