ESPN 100 Forward Transferring to Brewster

ESPN 100 forward Jonah Bolden is transferring to Brewster Academy according to head coach Jason Smith.

Bolden is expected to arrive on campus on January 6th when students return from holiday break and suit up for the Bobcats right away.

The six-foot-eight Bolden first turned heads this summer while competing with his native Australian team at Adidas Nations and then enrolled at perennial high school powerhouse Findlay Prep in September.

He quickly became a top national target for a variety of the nation’s most prestigious college basketball programs but ultimately made a verbal commitment to UCLA on December 10th.

Less than two weeks later, Bolden had left Findlay and reportedly gone home to Australia.  On Wednesday came word that Bolden would return to the United States and enroll at Brewster Academy for the rest of the school year.

A long and athletic perimeter forward with a budding skill set, Bolden will fill the void left by Chris McCullough’s departure as he provides some added size and length while also staying consistent with Brewster’s commitment to play quickly this season.
