Oswin Erhunmwunse Commits to Providence
Just a couple of weeks ago, Putnam Science Academy & Team New England/BABC 6’11” forward Oswin Erhunmwunse announced his commitment to Providence for the 2025-26 season…
Though he hails from Nigeria, Oswin has been in the region approaching two years now, as he was at Busche Academy in New Hampshire before transferring to reigning back-to-back National Prep Champions Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut last season. Both squads compete in New England’s Power 5 League.
The forward was a standout in Putnam Science's National Championship victory last March.

He has also competed for two of the highest-profile grassroots programs the region has to offer in BABC on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit and Team New England in the HGSL.
Just recently, Oswin tallied 20 points with six blocks in a big win over league-competitor Redemption Christian Academy. He also played a major role at the HoopHall Prep Showcase, shooting 7/9 from the floor, grabbing five boards and altering a number of shots.
Throughout his New England journey, Oswin also received offers from Iowa, Texas Tech, Rutgers, Bryant, Marquette, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, California, Washington, Alabama, Creighton, and Oklahoma.
It will be exciting to follow Oswin Erhunmwunse as he finishes his prep career before staying in New England to take his talents to the Big East to compete at the highest level of collegiate hoops as a Providence College Friar…
