Elite 75 Showcase: Frosh/Soph Edition – Event Recap

When everyone at the New England Recruiting Report and Hoop Mountain decided to do a freshman and sophomore showcase, we were motivated by two main factors.  First, getting all of the region’s best young players in the same gym at the same time would allow the top young prospects to distinguish themselves among their peers.  Second, it would also help other young prospects who had previously been flying under the radar to make a name for themselves.

Saturday’s showcase did just that as guys like Anthony Jernigan and Domonique Bull reminded us why they are two of the best, and others like Kaleb Tarczewski and Jules Tavares showed they are potential stars in the making. 

After an hour of advanced stretching and skill development stations, players were separated into teams and given the opportunity to play two games in front of the numerous college coaches and scouting services on hand.  The day concluded with two separate all-star games – one for the freshman and another for the sophomores.
