Eastern Elite Fall College Showcase - Event Recap

Mass Elite AAU program hosted the Eastern Elite Fall College Showcase Saturday night at Danvers Indoor Sports Complex. Players participated in games to showcase their talents in a variety of situations.  

Here are some of the top prospects from the showcase that impressed college coaches and spectators in attendance:

D.J. Frechette- Nashua South (2017)- The 11th ranked player in New Hampshire was spectacular throughout the showcase. Frechette, an athletic guard who threw down a handful of dunks in transition, has quick handles that allowed him to get to the rim and displayed a nice stroke from midrange and three.
 
Ryan Lavallee- Archbishop Williams (2016)- At 6'6" this long skilled prospect stretches defenses with his ability to shoot the 3 but also has the ability to get into the lane and finish with his length.

Ryan Morrissey- Plymouth South (2016)- Morrissey creates a lot for his teannateas and with good court vision got them open looks. He also can create for himself, scoring from all three ranges.

Justin Connolly- St. John's Prep (2017)- Long, skilled 6'7" prospect who finishes well within the paint with either hand and can shoot it from three.

Scotty Callahan- Westford Academy (2016) A big bodied 6'5" post that attacks the offensive glass hard and finishes with either hand. He's a very capable passer in the post as well.

Will Williams- Duxbury (2016)-  A tough guard who made good reads in the pick and roll game. Williams finishes well around the rim  with either hand and showed nice touch from midrange.

Tawana Caldwell- The Springfield Renaissance School (2016)- Caldwell is an athletic combo who got to the rim with ease.

Nate Tenaglia- Tewksbury (2016)- A great ball handler who effectively runs the team. Tenaglia is great off the bounce where he creates space for himself and uses his quick relase to score. He also rebounds at a high rate for a guard.

Jake Midura- Chicopee (2016)- Midura showcased his ability to create off the bounce, displaying his skills at getting to the rim or pulling-up from midrange.

Michael Bradley- Framingham (2016)- An athletic wing who can finish at the rim and stretch defenses with his 3 point shooting.

Matt Valles- Old Rochester (2017)- A long 6'7" who runs the floor well and has the ability to bring he ball up the floor in transition. Valles is just scratching the surface of his potential and his best basketball is ahead of him.

Zach Bladd- Winchester (2016) - Bladd can stroke it from deep, and possesses guard skills that allow him to get into the paint and make plays for himself or others.

Julian Nyland- Melrose (2016) - At 6'2 Nyland has solid handles that he used to get in the lane.  He also possesses good shooting ability and rebounds well for a guard.

Spencer Danforth- St. John's Prep (2016) - A skilled senior for St. John's Prep, Danforth has the offensive versatility to score the ball in a variety of different ways.
