Duggan Picks Campbell
Phillips Academy Andover forward Colby Duggan announced his commitment to Campbell this past Friday.
He began his high school career at Monson. Duggan impressed over the course of three seasons with the Mustangs. His scoring averages progressively went up, averaging 6.1 points in 2018-19, 20.2 points in 2019-20, and an astounding 27.8 points during a COVID-19 shortened 2020-21. A decision was made after that season to transfer to Phillips Academy Andover and reclassify into 2023.
Duggan made an immediate impact this past season while playing at a higher level of competition in NEPSAC Class A. He was a starter and earned ALL-NEPSAC honors.
“I have loved coaching Colby!,” said Phillips Academy Andover head coach Terrell Ivory. “He was a talented player when he arrived but also a great person that added to our community in multiple ways. Colby is a great leader that inspires his teammates because of his work ethic.”
“Campbell is a great fit for him because he can pass, dribble, and shoot at a high level. In the offense that they run, Colby can hopefully be an effective point forward. He will find a way to make his teammates better like he has done since he arrived on our campus.”
Duggan becomes the first member of Phillips Academy Andover’s 2023 class who has finalized their plans on where they will play college basketball next year.
