Dottin Signs with Towson
Cambridge Rindge & Latin alum and Woodstock Academy post-graduate guard Jakigh Dotton announced his commitment to Towson University on Monday in a ceremony at his former high school.
Dottin won a pair of state championship at Cambridge playing for his uncle, head coach Lance Dottin, while ending his career on a 45 game winning streak. He also scored over 1000 career points and 500 assists.
A longtime BABC product, he averaged nearly 13 points, 6 rebounds, and over 4 assists per game this year in helping BABC extend their streak of consecutive appearances in the EYBL Finals at the Nike Peach Jam.
Known for both his toughness and winning pedigree, Dottin also came up huge this weekend for Woodstock Academy as he scored 10 points in the final minute of a hardfought win over Hargrave Military Academy, going 8-8 from the free-throw line, and also played a big part in the team's win over Montverde CBD on Sunday.
"Dream come true," Dottin told Woodstock Athletics on twitter. "I've literally been working for this my whole life."
