New England Recruiting Report | Tuesday, August 16th, 2016

Hamidou Diallo's busy summer is getting ready for one last chapter this weekend in his hometown New York City.

The Putnam Science guard, who previously led NY Rens to the quarterfinal appearance in the EYBL Finals and won a gold medal with USA Basketball's u18 team, accepted an invitation to participate in Under Armour's 11th annual Elite 24 Basketball Showcase.

Played on the iconic outdoor stadium on Pier 2 of Brooklyn Bridge Park, the court overlooks the majestic lower Manhattan skyline and is played in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty.

The event and two days of practice leading up to Saturday night's game is open to NBA scouts and all 30 NBA teams have reportedly already requested credentials.

Friday night's action includes a three-point shootout and a dunk contest, for which Diallo has to be considered a favorite, while Saturday's game will tip at 7:30pm live on ESPNU.

Diallo will suit up for "Team Drive" along with the nation's top ranked point guard Trevon Duval and other top national prospects including Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Brandon McCoy along with 2018 prospects Javonte Smart, Nazreon Reid, Silvio De Souza, Zion Williamson, Louis King, Khavon Moore, Jaylen Hoard and Moses Brown.

Incoming Brewster Academy forward Sidney Wilson will be among the players on "Team Clutch" along with Jalek Felton, Josh Anderson, MJ Walker, Billy Preston, Kevin Knox, Nick Richards, Austin Wiley and 2018 prospects Jahvon Quinerly, Devon Dotson, Gerald Liddell and Bol Bol.
