CT Elite Takes Gauchos Roundball Title

Billy Lovett's Connecticut Elite sixteen-and-under team took the championship in their opening tournament of the summer. 

Elite came out victorious at the Gauchos Roundball Classic, held at the famous Gauchos Gym in the heart of the Bronx. 

Elite knocked off the Metro Hawks in the final, defeating the nike sponsored team from New York by 11 points.

James Jennings earned the tournament's Most Valuable Player award while Timajh Parker-Rivera was also named to the all-tournament team. 

Connecticut Elite will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to the Super 16 Showcase at Quinnipiac University.
