Connecticut 2012 Rankings Announced

The race for the top spot in the state of Connecticut is neck and neck between two players who will find themselves on the same side next year as Ricardo Ledo and Kris Dunn are both in the midst of big senior seasons prior to their arrival at Providence College next year.

Up next is a pair of big man who roam the paint on the state’s pre-eminent prep powerhouses.  Laimonas Chatkevicius is a skilled seven footer from South Kent heading to Kansas State next year while fourth ranked Chier Ajou stands a couple of inches higher at seven-two with an equally soft touch.

Hotchkiss guard Clyde Smith is bound for TCU next year and has been backing up his high-major status by putting up big numbers this year while sixth ranked John Papale has been doing the same.  South Kent has two more big men up next in Isaac Freeman and Chris Ortiz while the top ten is rounded out by Timajh Parker-Rivera and Terry Tarpey.

While Dunn, Parker-Rivera, and Tarpey are the CIAC’s highest ranked prospects they aren’t alone on the list as Northwest Catholic’s Zach Lewis and Cheshire’s Nate Howard both make their debut on the list.
