Springfield Commonwealth’s Vidal Earns Scholarship
Springfield Commonwealth Academy senior point guard Jordan Vidal made a verbal commitment to American International College on Monday following an official visit to the school's campus over the weekend.
He is expected to sign his National Letter of Intent with the Yellow Jackets on Thursday.
Vidal took to his twitter account to announce his decision:

Vidal is originally from the Bronx, but he's spent his entire high school career at Springfield's Commonwealth Academy and will now stay close by to spend four more years at AIC.
An athletic lead guard with end-to-end speed and playmaking ability on both ends of the floor, he should be more than capable of challenging for immediate playing time for AIC head coach Andy Burkholder.
"AIC needed a point guard who is ready immediately to contribute in the NE-10 and what better place than NEPSAC AAA and the Power 5 Conference to find that kid," Commonwealth Academy head coach Tony Bergeron said. "It's a great kid that aligns with a great head coach. Two high character human beings."
Vidal is the fifth member of CA's 2017 class to finalize his recruitment with players now heading to Saint Louis, Long Island, Sacred Heart, Brandeis, and American International.
