Akok Akok 2019

Day one of the Super 16 Showcase was as good as advertised with 300 teams flooded throughout southeastern Connecticut attracting both college coaches and national media out in full force.

Over 50 college coaches had checked in throughout the course of the day along with numerous others from the prep school level. The media attention was perhaps even better than ever as Tom Konchalski, Pat Lawless, and Maurice Wingate made the trip from New York and ESPN Recruiting Nation was on hand. Of course, the NERR team was out in full force, recognizing nearly 200 individual players through our social media coverage (click on the various links below to access).

Championship Sunday will be even more exciting. In the varsity division alone the Middlesex Magic, PTT Elite, New York Rens, LOX, CT Select, Wrightway Skills, USAD, RI Elite, Mass Elite, Wrightway Skills Showcase, Boys2Men, and Boston Warriors Gold remain in the hunt for the championship with the finals set to tip at 3:35 at the Floyd Little Athletic Center. Ringe City Elite, CT Stampede, Troy Cougars, and Middlesex Magic - Schffler remain in the hunt for the national title with a 12:20 tip scheduled. The Adidas Gauntlet Qualifier bracket has Mass Rivals Select, New World, New York Jayhawks, Riverside Hawks, and Boost Elite still on the board with a 4:40 final schedule at the University of New Haven.

Be sure to follow us on twitter for real time updates throughout the day, check NERR on Monday for the championship winners, and later in the week for full all-tournament teams.
