Canterbury’s Long Pledges to Fairfield
Canterbury School post-graduate and longtime Crown Basketball product TJ Long announced his commitment to Fairfield University earlier this week.
Long is a highly skilled, and equally smart, 6-foot-4 perimeter threat who can play multiple positions.
He graduated from Holy Trinity High School last year after a decorated high school career. He was first-team All-Long Island and one of Long Island's leading scorers as a senior year. His time with Crown was equally impressive. He was named first team All-HGSL in 2019 and helped lead Crown to numerous Jam Fest championships.
Most recently, Long showed a commitment to build-up his body by adding 25 pounds of muscle to his frame since his senior year.
His game has continued to go to new levels since arriving at Canterbury. He went off for 48 points, including 12 threes in a game against Putnam Science Academy last month and earned multiple D1 offers before deciding on Fairfield.
Long joins his Crown running mate Nick Spinoso to become the second Canterbury product to commit to a D1 school this year.
