BU Lands Philly Trio

Dominic Morris, Travis Robinson, and Henry Gaskins, all three of whom play for Friends Central High School in Philadelphia, committed to Boston University first year head coach, and former Villanova assistant, Pat Chambers earlier this week.

The set of commitments is significant for the Terriers for a number of reasons.  First, Morris and Robinson selected BU over recruitment from higher levels and both have the talent to make an instant impact in the America East.

Morris is a skilled and tough inside-out power forward whose versatility will be a perfect fit in the Villanova style offense that BU is expected to run.  Robinson is an athletic slasher who can create his own shot at will.  Meanwhile, Gaskins is the pure point guard who runs the show.

The trio joins fellow Phili products big man Anthony Mayo and guard Mike Terry in Chambers’ 2010-2011 incoming recruiting class, giving the first year head coach a clean sweep of his old backyard.
