Bridgton’s Hamoda Makes Call
The top unsigned prospect in New England's class of 2021 came off the board on Friday night when Bridgton Academy wing Muzamil Hamoda made a commitment to Utah State.
Utah State named former UMBC head coach Ryan Odom as their new head coach last month and he brought his entire staff from the America East Conference. Those northeast roots certainly paid off here as they were able to land a prospect who was very much under-the-radar after arriving from the country of Bahrain in the off-season.
Hamoda is a big, 6-foot-7 wing with a multi-dimensional game. He's long and athletic, slippery off the bounce, and has a solid foundation of skill to his game.
More than anything, he just needs to keep getting game experience and adjusting to the speed and physicality of the American game, but there's no denying he possesses all the tools to have a very impactful college career.
