Bowen Commits to Iowa
Dasonte Bowen has been recognized as one of the top prospects in New England's 2022 class since his arrival on the scene as a freshman.
He's maintained that status throughout the last three years and went on to secure several high-major scholarship offers.
One of the first of those was the University of Iowa, and last weekend Bowen rewarded their early interest in him by taking his first official visit to their campus.
On Wednesday, he decided that he had seen all he needed to and made a verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes.
Bowen spent two-plus years starring at Worcester Academy and came up the ranks with the BABC program. He transferred to Brewster Academy this fall and has competed with Expressions Elite this spring.
Bowen is a lead guard with good size, length, and increasing power at the position. While he may be best known for his ability on the offensive end of the floor, he has all the tools to be a very impactful defender, and is starting to cultivate that aspect of his game.
