Boston University Lands Philly Big Man

Anthony Mayo, a 6’8” big man from Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, committed to Boston University and head coach Patrick Chambers on Tuesday night.

Chambers, a former Villanova assistant, continues to keep the Philadelphia pipeline strong after earning a commitment from Mike Terry earlier in the summer.

Mayo is described as a late bloomer with a bright future.  A good athlete with a terrific motor, he’s known for his ability to block shots, rebound the ball, and finish inside.

He was also attracting attention from Marist, Quinnipiac, St. Francis, and Loyola.
