Big Names on the Move

The transfer wire remained busy this week as four of New England's premier players announced plans to attend new schools for the 2012-2012 year.

Jalen Adams was first in the news as the Rivals Basketball Club announced via their twitter account that the scoring guard would indeed be leaving Melrose High School as previously reported, but now intends to attend Cushing Academy.

Adams is coming off a big month on the July evaluation period and has heard from the likes of Connecticut, Indiana, and Providence in the ten days since the period came to an end.

Jared Terrell made news on Friday as the power guard confirmed what had already been whispered since the beginning of the month, that he would be leaving the New Hampton School and transferring to Brewster Academy.  The Weymouth, Massachusetts native also took to twitter to announce the news.

Terrell had his month of July cut short when he suffered an ankle injury during the Hoop Group Summer Classic, but has a long list of high-major offers in the class of 2014.

Terrell will join former St. Mark's guard Kevin Zabo, who will transfer to Brewster following a year at Montrose Christian, and former Hotchkiss big man Kyle Washington, who also announced this week that he would be spending his senior season at Brewster Academy.

Washington's former running mate at Hotchkiss, Austin Colbert, will be leaving New England all together and returning to his home state of New Jersey where he will attend Gill St. Bernard, playing next to his teammate on Team Final, ESPN 100 guard Jaren Sina.
