Bans becomes RIIL’s all-time leading scorer
Shea High School senior guard Erickson Bans became the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League on Friday night as part of a 37-point effort.
He broke the 21-year old record, set by Saint Raphael's Robert Griffin in 1999, on a pair of free-throws and received a standing ovation from the crowd at Pilgrim High School immediately afterward.
Bans, who played on the EYBL with Expressions last spring and recently committed to Bryant, now has just short of 2,500 career points.
