Ademide Badmus 2021

Lynn English and Team New England big man Ademide Badmus announced his commitment to Gardner-Webb over the weekend following a recent visit to their campus.

Badmus has been on the best big men in the MIAA in recent years as well as a mainstay of the TNE program. He was named MaxPreps Player of the Year in Massachusetts this year after averaging 23 points per game. He was on the verge of securing his 1,000th career rebound before missing one game in his senior year.

He returned to the grassroots circuit this spring with hopes of playing his way onto the D1 level without needing a post-grad year and was able to accomplish just that.

The 6-foot-7 big man is known for his size and power inside, but showed more nuance to his game this spring with good hands, footwork, and a crafty arsenal of fakes in his bag of tricks.

Badmus is the third member of Team New England's 2021 class to commit to a D1 school and joins teammate Leon Williams in Gardner-Webb's incoming class.
