Adams Goes Out in Style

Mass Rivals’ guard Jalen Adams brought his AAU career to an end in starring fashion this week, turning in one of the best showings of his illustrious career at the Adidas Super 64 Showcase and landing on the front page of every major national media outlet in the process.

While Adams’ commitment to UConn made huge headlines to start the month, it actually caused him to fly a little under the radar during the evaluation period as media tends to focus primarily on the uncommitted prospects and the coaches that are following them.

Adams put himself back in the headlines in a major way on Friday, scoring 56 points on the day including 30 against Stackhouse Elite and 26 against Team Loaded, which featured the top ranked prospect in the national 2016 class Thon Maker.  It was actually the start of the Team Loaded game that was most notable as Adams scored the Rivals’ first 21 points, all of which came within the first 8 minutes.

In addition to finding himself on the covers of Scout and Rivals, Adams was also profiled by ESPN's National Recruiting Director, Paul Biancardi, on ESPN who broke down his "Five Takeaways from the Adidas 64."

Overall, it was a fitting last act a playmaker who has been among the best New England has seen in recent years.
