ZG New England Hoops Festival Preview

The stakes continue to increase with each passing week as the Path to the Belt is now halfway through and Zero Gravity's New England Hoops Festival on tap for this weekend with the biggest field we've seen so far this season.

The varsity division alone features 50 teams, which is almost unprecedented for a fall grassroots tournament in the United States, but the field is just as talented as it is deep with the likes of Mass Rivals, Middlesex Magic, New England Playaz, Rise Above Basketball, Expressions Elite, Boston Bocats, Mass Select, Mass Elite, Rhode Island Elite, Evo Elite, ASA, and WrightWay Skills among others.

The winners will join a list of champions that already includes the likes of Mig's Team of Springfield, The Cobras, Boston Bobcats, B2L, and BABC.

There are 30 more teams in the 10th grade division which features the likes of Mass Select, Boston Bobcats, Middlesex Magic, Central Mass Swarm, Mass Select Gold, and ASA Select. They'll be fighting to join the likes of BABC, Rhode Island Rivals, Boston Blazers, Boston Spartans, Worcester Team United, and Massasoit Warriors who have all taken divisional championships so far this fall.

The New England Playaz, Boston Spartans, Mig's Team, and Too Much Game have set the pace so far this fall in the 9th grade division and they'll be nearly 40 other teams hoping to come away with a championship this weekend in order to add their name to that list.

It all goes down this weekend with the action spread from the University Sports Complex to the South Shore Fieldhouse to the MPlex and plenty of other places in between.

Be sure to follow our social media coverage throughout the weekend at @NERRhoops and check back Monday morning for a full recap of the top individual performers.
