Yfantopulos Makes Pick
Brimmer & May and Mass Rivals senior guard Jimmy Yfantopulos announced on Thursday night that he will play his college basketball for Colgate University.
Yfantopulos is an undersized southpaw guard who has exceeded all expectations in recent years and proven himself to be an overachiever by virtue of his toughness and work-ethic.
The 5-foot-10 guard has been a multi-year starter at Brimmer & May and a member of the Rivals' team that was among the best in the Adidas Gauntlet this past spring and summer. He's been on an especially impressive streak as of late, averaging 25 points and nearly 8 assists per game over the course of his last 8 contents for the Gators.
"I'm just very proud of him for working so hard and reaching his goal," Brimmer & May School head coach Tom Nelson said. "He's a fearless competitor that gets the most out of his ability."
A playmaking guard who plays with a flair, Yfantopulos has become as adept at creating space off his dribble as he has been making tough shots from the perimeter.
Below are some of Yfantopulos' recent highlights care of Buzzer Beater.
So proud of this kid. He committed to Colgate today. He's proved people wrong and will continue to do so. Came to @RivalsNation wanting to play high level ball. Now your #patriotleague bound. #wegotus #brimmergang. pic.twitter.com/Cfw1wHtFqc
