Yale’s First 2026 Commit

Just last night, it was announced that Albany Academy 2026 guard Jack Louridas had committed to the Bulldogs of Yale University.
Two months ago, Louridas picked up his first Division One offer from the United States Naval Academy. From then on, he went on a tear in Hoop Group play.
Louridas makes a resounding impact on the court as a lights-out shooter at the guard position that offers size as well. He stands around 6’3” with a smooth release from outside that he knocks down in a variety of ways.
The Yale commit also does a good job at limiting mistakes with the ball, and scoring the ball at an efficient rate from different areas of the floor. He keeps his eyes up to make reads and get others the ball, while also possessing some swift moves to score in the paint or above the rim.
We got our first look at Louridas back in the fall when he attended the New England Open Gym event hosted by the NERR Staff. It was there that we were able to see the upside he possessed prior to another big season with Albany Academy.
This season, Albany Academy will be joining NEPSAC Class AA with a promising roster intact. There will be ample opportunities to check out Louridas’ game against local New England programs throughout the next winter.
