Woodson Won’t Return

This weekend at the NBPA Camp, Rivals.com’s national recruiting analyst Eric Bossi confirmed what many in New England had already come to know, that Dominic Woodson would not be returning to Vermont Academy.

Woodson left the NEPSAC school in April and is now planning on attending either Findlay Prep, Huntington Prep or Sunrise Christian Academy for his senior season.

Woodson’s performance this week in Charlottesville was in many ways symbolic of his year in New England as national recruiting analysts cited both his unquestioned talent as well as his sometimes questionable motor.

Vermont Academy is expected to return their two leading scorers, Jamel Artis and Daquein McNeil, while adding new pieces including Dimitri Floras and George Funtarov.

Floras is coming off a breakout spring on the AAU circuit and picked up his most recently scholarship offer on Friday from Quinnipiac  while Funtarov is a six-foot-seven forward from Kansas City Pump n’Run who landed mid-major offers before opting for a post-graduate year.
