Week Three Offer Updates

In each of the first two weeks of the July evaluation period, we've looked back to see which scholarship offers have come out of it. Now, it's time for the third and final week in review of offers:

  • Wenyen Gabriel was obviously the big winner of the third and final period, leading the Rivals to a place in the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships final on ESPNU and landing new offers from the likes of Duke, Kansas and Kentucky in the process;
  • Rivals point guard Makai Ashton-Langford, who out-played a series of nationally ranked point guards in Las Vegas, scored his latest high-ajor offer from Creighton;
  • Azar Swain picked up his first two division I offers from Brown and Yale respectively after drilling three first-half three-pointers in the first half of the nationally televised ESPNU game;
    Fellow Rival 2017 product Greg Kuakumensah also landed an offer from Brown, where his older brother Cedric Kuakumensah has starred for the last four years;
    Incoming Cushing Academy 2017 point guard Wabissa Bede picked up his latest offer from St. Bonaventure;

  • Yale offered a trio of rising juniors from NMH and the New England Playaz on Wednesday in Kellan Grady, Tomas Murphy and Jerome Desrosiers. Since the Bulldogs had already offered incoming junior Andrew Platek, they have now offered NMH's entire 2017 class;

  • A day later Penn followed suit by offering the Platek, Grady and Desrosiers;

  • Grady landed another scholarship offer this week when he became the latest local product to earn an invitation from Creighton;

  • Murphy too landed another offer when the New England Playaz had Davidson come calling;

  • Another New England Playaz rising junior, Thayer Academy guard Jordan Mello-Klein, picked up his first division I offer from Dartmouth following the trip to Las Vegas;

  • Pittsburgh offered BABC and Worcester Academy big man Kevin Marfo following his performance in the Fab 48. Marfo was also offered by Fordham this week;

  • Pittsburgh also offered PSA Cardinals and Commonwealth Academy rising junior forward Hasahn French who played in Kansas during the last week of the evaluation period;

  • PSA Cardinals and Commonwealth Academy rising junior forward Hasahn French landed his latest offer from Pitts

  • Yale also offered High Rise Elite and St. Luke's rising junior forward Walter Whyte;

  • DC Blue Devils forward and incoming Kimball Union Academy post-graduate Nathan Knight added Quinnipiac, Kennesaw State, Duquesne, Radford, UNC-W, George Mason and Temple to his list of scholarship offers;

  • New York Lightning and Master's School rising senior Elijah Pemberton added offers from Southern Illinois, Buffalo and St. Bonaventure;

  • Metro Boston and Kent School power forward Jack Stevens added offers from Kennesaw State and Appalachian State;

  • Metro Boston and Hyde School big man Eamonn Joyce was offere by Southern New Hampshire.
